I spent the last four years defeating MAGA extremists across the country in some of the most competitive districts and states, and now, the reality is that this fight has come home. And that’s why I’m running for Congress: to defeat extremism and be a serious leader who will restore our sense of opportunity and pride in the district.
NY-3 isn’t the same district it was when I was a kid. Across every corner of the district, home prices and rents are up, local businesses are struggling with increased costs, and residents aren’t sure what the future holds. Too many of our neighbors are experiencing more transience than a sense of security. And they are rightfully angry and scared about what’s happening.
It is that frustration and fear that carried George Santos – and MAGA Republicans like him – to victory across Queens and Long Island. But MAGA extremism isn’t the only answer.
I haven’t given up on government’s ability to adapt to the needs of a new generation – and meet the challenges of the moment. I have lived those challenges. In Congress, I’ll be a Representative who prioritizes whatever work it takes to build a future we all can see ourselves in, because I know exactly what it’s like to look ahead and have serious doubts about what’s doable in the given circumstances.
I’ve dedicated my career to fighting on the cutting edge of education reform and investing in the next generation of leaders. Now, I’m ready to fight to win this seat back and bring fresh leadership to Queens and Long Island.
We need your help to defeat extremism and restore leadership in NY-03. Sign up to volunteer today!
